Geographical location

Located in the far south of Uruguay in the department of Maldonado, the resort is about 135 km east of Montevideo and 475 km east of the Argentine border. Best season to visit

The ideal period extends from December to March, corresponding to the southern summer, when the city is bustling with numerous cultural events. This high tourist season, however, involves significant crowds and higher rates.

For a more tranquil experience, April and November offer a pleasant climate with fewer crowds.

Capitán de Corbeta Carlos A. Curbelo international airport, located about 20 km away, offers domestic and international flights, notably from:

  • Santiago de Chile

From Montevideo, several options are available for visitors:
