Best season to visit

The months of May, June, September, and early October are generally considered the ideal time to discover the destination. During these preferred times, the climate remains pleasant, tourist crowds are more moderate, and prices are more affordable. The summer months, while perfect for beach activities, attract denser crowds and higher prices.

Access

The airport, located about 8 kilometers east of the city center, is served by regular flights from many European cities. Several options allow you to reach the city center from the airport:

• Taxi: 15 to 20 minutes journey for an estimated cost between 25 and 30 €
• Bus: the A1 line connects the airport to the city center in 20 to 30 minutes, with frequent departures

Internal transport

The compact city center is perfect for exploring on foot. For longer journeys, an efficient public transport network serves the entire urban area:

• Bus: the Empresa Municipal de Transportes (EMT) operates 46 lines serving the city and its surroundings
• Metro: two lines connect the city center to the University of the Balearic Islands and Marratxí
• Tourist train: the Ferrocarril de Sóller, a historic wooden train, connects the city to Sóller while offering picturesque landscapes over a 24-kilometer journey
