Geographical situation

Best time to visit

The months of May, June, July, August, and September are particularly pleasant, combining mild temperatures and a rich cultural program. However, July and August correspond to the high tourist season, with increased crowds and higher hotel rates. For a quieter experience and optimal conditions, the months of May, June, and September are particularly recommended.

Access

The international airport, located about 13 kilometers from the city center, serves as the main air gateway. Bizkaibus buses provide regular connections to the center in about 20 minutes. The Bilbao-Abando-Indalecio-Prieto station, located in the city center, offers rail connections to various Spanish destinations. The city is also accessible:
