Geographical situation

Traversed by the majestic Danube, the city is naturally divided into two distinct parts: Buda to the west and Pest to the east. Best season to visit

The spring months (April-May) and autumn months (September-October) are the ideal times to discover the city. During these privileged moments, the mild climate and more moderate tourist influx allow for a visit under optimal conditions. However, it is worth noting that some major events like the Formula 1 Grand Prix and the Sziget Festival in summer attract many visitors, leading to an increase in prices and attendance.

Access

Ferenc Liszt International Airport, located 16 km southeast of the city center, serves as the main air gateway. Various transport services (buses, taxis, car rentals) ensure connections to the city center. The city also benefits from excellent rail connectivity thanks to its three main train stations - Keleti, Nyugati, and Déli - which offer numerous national and international connections, confirming its status as a major railway hub.
