Access

Two main airports serve the capital:

  • Suvarnabhumi Airport: Located 31 km from the city center, it handles the majority of international flights
  • Don Muang International Airport: Mainly used for domestic and regional flights

From Suvarnabhumi Airport, the Airport Rail Link express train connects to the city center in under 30 minutes.

Internal transport

A variety of transport options facilitate urban travel:

  • Skytrain (BTS): Two main lines serving key areas of the city
  • Subway (MRT): Complementary to the BTS, covering other important sectors
  • Public buses: Extensive network, although sometimes difficult to navigate for non-locals
