Two periods stand out as ideal for optimal exploration: spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). Spring delights with the spectacular cherry blossom that transforms the city into a living painting, while autumn enchants with maple trees dressed in vibrant colors. Access

• By air: Kansai International Airport, located about 100 kilometers away, is the main gateway for international travelers. The Haruka express train provides a direct connection in approximately 75 minutes
• By train: The famous Shinkansen (bullet train) connects to Tokyo in just 2 hours and 20 minutes, offering a comfortable and quick journey

Internal transport

An efficient public transport network facilitates all urban movements:

• Subway: two main lines structure transport within the city
• Buses: a particularly extensive network serving almost all tourist attractions
• Bicycles: a very popular option thanks to numerous bike paths and various rental services
• Taxis: available but represent the most expensive option
